In CI the
body follows
the reflexive movements in its effort to keep a physical
dialogue with other
bodies mainly by focusing in the mosaic of sensations.
What happens, if we add to the field of our attention Time &
Space and play
compositionally?
How the relationship to our own dance, the group and the
environment will be
affected, informed and transformed?
We will explore and expand the sense of being and creating
together through
Touch (direct and/or extended), Space and Time. We will develop
awareness of
the choices we make as we Dance.
This Workshop requires some experience in CI and Improvisation combined with the desire to enter into compositional work. Please send us a short bio.
Dates: 04 - 07 August 2022, Thursday 11-17h Friday till Sunday from 10-16h.

Daniela Schwartz (ARG/FR) - Echkard
Müller (GER/FR) travel the world to share their vision, practice
and performance
of Contact Improvisation and Improvisation, moving together
across Europe and
the Americas to offer CI Intensive Workshops and developing
projects based on
Improvisation and transdisciplinary practices. Through
collaboration, their
interests continuously influence each other, creating diverse
and surprising
pathways. They share the passion and curiosity of moving into
the unknown, the
spontaneity of real time and the investigation of the body’s
wisdom. Dani’s
interest is in details and the capacity of attention and
imagination. This,
together with Ecki’s fascination with physicality and its
limits, plunge them
together into the research of perceptual and sensorial
exploration,
rediscovering possible dialogues through the dance. They are
both part of the
contactfestival freiburg organization team in Germany and
members of Co.

Dans le Contact Improvisation, le corps suit les mouvements réflexes dans son effort pour maintenir un dialogue physique avec d'autres corps, principalement en se concentrant sur la mosaïque de sensations. Si nous ajoutons au champ de notre attention le temps et l'espace et jouons sur la composition : Comment la relation à notre propre danse, au groupe et à l'environnement sera-t-elle affectée, informée et transformée ?
Nous explorerons et développerons le sentiment d'être et de créer ensemble à travers le toucher (direct et/ou étendu), l'espace et le temps. Nous prendrons conscience des choix que nous faisons en dansant.
Cet atelier requiert une certaine expérience du CI et de l'improvisation, ainsi que le désir d'entrer dans un travail de composition.

In der CI folgt der Körper den reflexiven Bewegungen in seinem Bemühen, einen körperlichen Dialog mit anderen Körpern zu halten, hauptsächlich indem er sich auf das Mosaik der Empfindungen konzentriert.
Was passiert, wenn wir dem Feld unserer Aufmerksamkeit Zeit & Raum hinzufügen und kompositorisch spielen:
Wie wird die Beziehung zu unserem eigenen Tanz, der Gruppe und der Umgebung beeinflusst, informiert und transformiert?
Wir werden das Gefühl des Seins und des gemeinsamen Schaffens durch Berührung (direkt und/oder erweitert), Raum und Zeit erforschen und erweitern. Wir werden ein Bewusstsein für die Entscheidungen entwickeln, die wir beim Tanzen treffen.
Dieser Workshop erfordert einige Erfahrung in CI und Improvisation verbunden mit dem Wunsch, in die kompositorische Arbeit einzusteigen. Bitte sende uns eine kurze Biografie.

Daniela Schwartz (ARG/FR) – Echkard Müller (GER/FR) reisen um die Welt (hauptsächlich in ganz Europa und den beiden Amerikas), um ihre Vision, Praxis und Performance von Contact Improvisation und Improvisation zu teilen, um CI-Intensiv-Workshops anzubieten und Projekte auf der Grundlage von Improvisation und transdisziplinären Praktiken zu entwickeln. Durch die Zusammenarbeit beeinflussen sich ihre Interessen kontinuierlich gegenseitig und schaffen vielfältige und überraschende Wege. Sie teilen die Leidenschaft und Neugier, sich in unbekannte Welten zu bewegen, die Spontaneität im Hier und Jetzt und die Erforschung der Weisheit des Körpers. Dani interessiert sich für Details mithilfe ihrer Fähigkeit zur Aufmerksamkeit und Vorstellungskraft. Dies, zusammen mit Eckis Faszination für die Körperlichkeit und ihre Grenzen, lässt sie gemeinsam in die Erforschung der Wahrnehmung und Sensorik eintauchen und mögliche Dialoge durch den Tanz neu entdecken. Sie sind beide Teil des Organisationsteams von contactfestival freiburg in Deutschland und Mitglieder von Co. Dégadézo, Frankreich.
